Two tourists who were found littering in Kodagu were made to travel back 80 km to clean up their act. Kodagu activist Madettira Thimmaiah found their number on the littered pizza box and called them asking them to pick up the garbage. When he did not get the desired result, he informed the local police and the Circle Officer also called the two asking them to return and pick up the garbage they had littered. The activist then made a video and posted on social media urging people of Kodagu to ask them to come back and clean the place. The tourists relented and travelled back 80 km to pick up the garbage.
