1993 Mumbai blasts: SC rejects Sanjay Dutt plea
Updated on May 14, 2013 05:23 pm IST
The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to grant more time to Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt to surrender and undergo jail term in the arms case related to 1993 Mumbai blasts. Sanjay has to surrender by May 16. The order came in response to appeals filed by two producers of films starring Dutt. The apex court on Friday also rejected Dutt's plea seeking review of its March 21 judgement upholding his conviction under the Arms Act and sentencing him to five years in jail in the arms case, saying there is no merit in it. The apex court also rejected the similar pleas made by other six convicts in the case. Keywords: Supreme Court, Sanjay Dutt, Surrender, Jail term, Arms case, 1993 Mumbai blasts
