72 militants surrender in Imphal

Nearly 72 militants have laid down their arms before security forces in Imphal in presence of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh. The ultras surrendered a huge cache of sophisticated weapons such as AK 47 rifles, G3 rifles, carbines and pistols. Major General UK Gurung welcomed them into the mainstream and urged more extremists to abjure the path of violence.
