Thousands of devotees, interestingly Hindus as well as Muslims, take part in the Kalash Yatra on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi in Varanasi in which more than a thousand kalashs filled with the water of Ganga are carried to the temple of Lord Vishwanath. The yatra commenced from the banks of the River Ganga and meandered through the streets to the temple.
