Updated on Mar 20, 2010 08:16 pm IST
US Ambassador to India, Timothy J. Roemer on Friday said that the Al-Qaeda, Taliban and Lashkar-e-Toiba were the common enemies of India and America. Roemer also termed Indo-US ties as indispensable partnership. Roemer met Home Minister P Chidambaram on Thursday and pledged cooperation on counter-terrorism issues. Their meeting came amidst reports that Mumbai terror suspect David Coleman Headley, standing trial in the US, has pleaded guilty before the District Court in Chicago to get a lighter sentence than the death penalty.
