Army called in Bengal

Demand for a separate Gorkhaland in West Bengal is getting more violent each day. The government called the Army on Thursday after violent clash between the protesters and the police. Police resorted to tear gas on activists of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha or Gorkha People's Liberation front, GPLF, who clashed with the locals at Champasari area in Darjeeling. Dozens of people were injured.
