The Bharatiya Janata Party today threatened to block proceedings in the upcoming Budget Session of Parliament if Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde was not sacked over his controversial 'Hindu terror' remark. Addressing party supporters at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, BJP president Rajnath Singh said that Shinde would have to go because his remark has caused nationwide outrage. Meanwhile irked by the remarks of Shinde, the BJP has burnt his effigies and resisted water canons as they continued to demand his resignation in a nationwide protest today. In Chandigarh, BJP workers and supporters took to the streets and met with a heavy police barricade.
