Updated on Feb 17, 2013 08:48 pm IST

India has maintained a 'no middlemen policy' during all defence acquisitions, but if any such malpractice were conducted in the Italian chopper deal, it would be thoroughly investigated, said Union Education Minister, M.M. Pallam Raju today. Union Defence Minister AK Antony had earlier said that India will blacklist Finmeccanica SpA and cancel its deal to buy 12 helicopters from the Italian defence group if allegations of bribery are proven against the company.
