Delhi shivers at 1.9 degrees Celsius

Delhi continued to shiver with a minimum of 1.9 degrees Celsius today, 4 degrees below the season's normal, and the maximum temperature dropping eight degrees below normal to rest at 12.6 degrees Celsius. A severe cold wave continues to grip northern India causing great discomfort to the people everywhere. A thick blanket of fog accompanied by icy cold windows forced people to stay within the confines of their homes. Owing to poor visibility, people adopted caution while driving their vehicles.
