DMK invokes strong public reaction

The ruling DMK of Tamil Nadu state, which is seeking key portfolios in the central cabinet, has invoked strong public reaction in state capital Chennai. A miffed Muthuvel Karunanidhi, chief of Tamil Nadu and DMK President, who was in New Delhi, left for Chennai on Friday saying that his party would not join the cabinet, instead give only outside support to the Congress-led government after talks on distribution of ministerial berths failed.
