DMK to agitate against petrol price hike

Expressing outrage over the recent petrol price hike by the state-run oil marketing firms, government's key ally, the DMK today announced that the party would launch a state wide agitation against the hike. Speaking to mediapersons in Chennai, DMK President M Karunanidhi asserted that he could not remain indifferent to the masses plight. Senior leader of Communist Party of India (Marxist) Biman Bose also resisted the unprecedented petrol price hike. Discontented with the hike in prices of petrol, Bose told mediapersons in Kolkata that with an unparalleled hike would increase woes of the common man.
