Farmers disappointed as tonnes of wheat rot in Kanpur

Farmers have expressed disappointment as tonnes of wheat continued to rot in Kanpur. As many as 50 trucks carrying wheat were stranded outside the wheat godowns in the city. Farmers in the region have been stranded for more than a week due to the delay in procurement by state authorities. Slamming the state government for lack of co-operation, farmers said they would incur heavy losses if this continues.
