Geelani calls for a two-day strike to mark PM, Sonia's visit

Kashmir's separatist outfit, the Hurriyat Conference faction led by hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani, has called for a two-day strike from October 27 to mark the visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and chief of Congress party, Sonia Gandhi to the state. Singh and Sonia Gandhi are expected to inaugurate a 12-kilometer railway line linking Islamabad and Qazigund, both in Indian Kashmir, on October 28.
