GoM asks law ministry to redraft coal regulator bill

Inter-ministerial panel met to decide on the main features of coal regulator bill and it has instructed law ministry to redraft it. Finance minister P Chidambaram, who headed the GoM that examined the draft bill, stated this in New Delhi. However, he noted that GoM had reached an 'agreement' on the contents of the bill. Earlier, there was a difference of opinion between the coal and power ministries on the aspect of pricing of coal.
