Govt. has room for more monetary & fiscal steps

India's Planning Commission's Deputy Chairman, Montek Singh Ahluwalia on Monday said that India had room for more fiscal and monetary policy measures to revive its slowing economy. Ahluwalia also added that the government would act to protect growth in the next fiscal. The bank will next review its policy stance on January 27. Ahluwalia said that there would be no tax changes between now and the next full budget.
