Have to raise voice for the people: Mamata Banerjee
Updated on Sept 30, 2012 06:00 pm IST
Even as West Bengal Chief Minister, and TMC Supremo, Mamata Banerjee gears up for a huge protest rally in New Delhi on October 1 against the government's economic policies, Banerjee has said that she was raising voice for the common people. Political commentators however say that Mamata's frustrations over repeated failures to get financial support for the state from the central government had fuelled her anger and the push for reforms against her wishes gave her the excuse to desert the ship. D P Moitra, a theatre production manager in Kolkata, said that he believed that Mamata was indulging in theatrics by showing her opposition to the government.
