Helicopter operations resume in Uttarakhand

Rescue teams in Uttarakhand are having a hard time in taking out stranded victims to safer places as the landslides have blocked highways while the rough weather and consistent rains are creating problems in air rescue operations. However, providing some respite to the rescue teams, the weather in the afternoon improved in Uttarakhand paving way for Air Force helicopters to fly and evacuate people. Speaking to a group of mediapersons in Patna, Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said that the food and relief supplies are being provided to the stranded victims in Badrinath and Kedarnath, until they are evacuated from the region. Keywords: Rescue Teams, Landslides, Weather, Sushilkumar Shinde, Relief Supplies
