IMD predicts rains during CWG
Updated on Sept 06, 2010 11:17 pm IST
With less than a month left for the Commonwealth Games 2010, the Meteorological Department on Sunday predicted rainfall in October, in the city and nearby regions. New Delhi had a record rainfall during this monsoon season, much higher than during the same period of previous years. The prediction of rains may not only slow down the construction and cleaning projects but also lead to rise in dengue, which has emerged recently as a major problem for the city as well as for the international athletes.
