India as UNSC member to promote good for world

While addressing delegates from Global Advisory Council of People of Indian Origin in New Delhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday said that India, as a temporary member of United Nations Security Council, would seek to promote what is good for the country and for the world at large. The Prime Minister added that India's northeastern states have "boundless potential" in providing opportunities for the youth.About 1,500 overseas delegates and all the Chief Ministers of northeastern states are attending the three-day conclave that would conclude on Sunday.
