India has urged Pakistan to examine and act on the evidence provided by it to help carry forward the investigations, instead of rejecting it out of hand. Indian foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee had said earlier, that he hoped that Pakistan would act fast. This followed Pakistan's admission that Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, was a Pakistani national. Pranab Mukherjee said this while addressing the delegates during the seventh Pravasi Bhartiya Divas.
