Jammu and Kashmir elections will raise the fight for supremacy by a notch. The four-way battle between ruling NC, BJP, PDP and Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party will be held in the five phase electoral battle for 87 constituencies beginning today. National Conference and Congress have reportedly been pushed to extinction as the former battles an image of anti-incumbency. Regional parties are also set to hold the key even as BJP-PDP make for the main contenders. In Jammu and Kashmir 12 sitting MLAs, including seven ministers, are among 123 candidates trying their luck in 15 constituencies that will go to polls in all three regions of the state.
