Karnataka governor sanctions criminal prosecution of Yeddyurappa

On the day when BJP was likely to the announce successor of the outgoing Karnataka chief minister B S Yeyurappa, troubles further escalated for him as the state governor HR Bhardwaj gave a nod to the Lokayukta Police to start criminal proceedings against him. Bhardwaj has accepted the report on illegal mining that indicts Yeddyurappa for misusing his public office and accepting kickbacks from mining companies. Meanwhile Yeddyurappa reached Hotel Capitol in Bangalore for the BJP legislative party meeting today.
