Kashmir's carpet business to flourish, exports on rise

The carpet business in India's Kashmir is on rise, as the global meltdown is gradually fading. Exporters are also anticipating a growth of 25 percent due to the increase in demand of Kashmiri carpets from European countries. As carpet-weaving regains its momentum in the strife-ridden state, weavers are also returning to the traditional industry, which strongly supported the state's economy during the crucial times of turmoil.
