The tall, loud and brash, Kevin Pietersen is the real champion of England cricket team who has shown his might and became the hero in 2005 after a great win against Aussies in Ashes. Well known as the most stylish and aggressive batsman, Pietersen was born on 27 June, 1930 and is a right-handed batsman and occasional off spin bowler for England. He is regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world, and is certainly the most destructive, as he is capable of taking on any bowler. He made his ODI debut in 2004 when he was selected for England ODI squad for the Zimbabwe tour. He finished the series with an average of 104.00 as England won the series 4–0. In 2005, his test cricket debut in ashes series was against Australia He became the fourth English batsman to top the Reliance ICC ODI rankings in March 2007. He was the fastest batsman to score 1000 and 2000 runs in ODI history. Pietersen has the highest ODI average of any England player to have played more than 20 innings. He had scored 444 runs, at an average of 55.50, in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007.
