Locals protest against former village head's killing

Locals in Gaya district of Bihar set ablaze a truck on Wednesday to protest the killing of former village head Arvind Kumar of Jumhuriya region by Maoists. Arvind's relative Ashok Kumar, said six men killed Arvind and ran away. With the considerable increase in killings and abduction, locals have also demanded for increased security from the government. To protest the killing, villagers pelted stones on Mahendra Kumar Basantri, Deputy Police Superintendent of Gaya, as he visited the spot.
