Lok Sabha passes the anti-rape bill

The Lok Sabha has passed the much awaited anti-rape bill, to provide for more stringent punishment for crimes against women, including life sentence or even death sentence in extreme cases, and other stringent punishment for various offences like stalking, voyeurism and acid attacks. The bill will now be taken up in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.
