Madras HC adjourns Nalini release case hearing

The Madras High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of appeal questioning the premature release of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's assassin Nalini to February 19. Nalini has sought release under the Tamil Nadu Prison Act and section 433A of the CrPC (criminal procedure code). These laws allow a life convict to appeal for release after 14 years in jail. Nalini has already spent 18 years.
