Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister RR Patil quits

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil who was in the cross hairs in the wake of the Mumbai terror attacks resigned on Monday. Patil handed over his resignation to chief minister terming it his conscience decision. According to early reports Prithvi Raj Chauhan is likely to take over as the next Deputy CM. Patil's resignation follows the exit of the Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, who handed over his resignation to Prime Minister on Sunday.
