People named him Captain Cool as he is very stable in the field. He is the current Captain of Team India, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Popularly known as Mahi, he is extravagant, flamboyant and destructive on the field. Born on July 7, 1981 in Ranchi, Dhoni made his debut in the international cricketing world in the year 2003 against Bangladesh in Chittagong where he was run out for a duck. His 183 not out against Sri Lanka in October 2005 in Jaipur is his highest ODI score and the highest while chasing in ODI cricket. His unbeaten 139 for Asia against Africa at Chennai in June 2007 is the highest by a number seven batsman in ODIs. He became Team India's ODI captain in September 2007. Captain Cool has led the Indian team to victory in the 2007 ICC's T20 World Cup. He is the only captain to lead team India to the number one position in ICC rankings of test cricket for the first time.
