Mamata Banerjee seeks funds for West Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday sought an additional Rs 47,000-crore bailout package for the next four years from the Centre to tide over the financial crisis in the state. While talking to the media after her meeting with finance minister Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi, Banerjee stated that the financial assistance was needed as the infrastructure of West Bengal was in an impoverished condition.
