Rift between the Maoists became very apparent as a regional Maoist faction comprising tribal cadres in Jharkhand on Wednesday staunchly condemned the recent killing of an abducted cop from Bihar, Lucas Tete, incidentally belonging to the tribal community. To voice their anger at the radical ultras from the neighbouring Bihar state they also called for a shutdown in Simdega on Wednesday and also pasted copies of their handwritten note at Kersai, the hometown of Assistant Sub Inspector Lucas Tete. Issuing an unequivocal handwritten criticism through posters, the tribal Maoists deemed the death of the abducted cop as 'unnecessary,' and maintained that it was a shameful act contrary to Maoist struggle.
