Mayawati announces relief for stampede victims

Six days after 63 people died in a stampede in an Uttar Pradesh ashram, state's Chief Minister Mayawati on Wednesday announced a compensation of Rs.2.5 lakh to the families of those killed and Rs.75, 000 to the injured. Meanwhile, She also lashed out at Congress for failing to provide the compensation that was announced for the victims the very next day of the tragedy.
