Updated on Jun 13, 2012 04:48 pm IST
The Supreme Court has again refused to stay the Andhra Pradesh high court order quashing the 4.5% minority sub quota in Central educational institutions. Meanwhile Haj committee chairman Shahid Qureshi alleged that Salman Khurshid is trying to befool the Muslim community. The Congress-led UPA government had announced the sub-quota of 4.5% for socially and educationally backward people belonging to minority communities on December 22, 2011, ahead of key Assembly elections in five states, including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
