Multi-party meet on Telangana ends inconclusive

The first day of the multi-party meet convened by Home Minister P Chidambaram on the creation of a separate state of Telangana ended inconclusive in New Delhi on Tuesday as parties remained divided on the creation of a separate state. Asauddin Owasi, President of Hyderabad-based regional political outfit, Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) called for President's rule in the state.
