N-deal high on agenda

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived in the United States, hoping to seal an atomic energy deal and discuss cooperation in defence and counter-terrorism, on Tuesday. Besides the nuclear deal, Singh will hold talks on issues ranging from defence to terrorism and the global financial crisis. Meanwhile, a top financial official, accompanying Singh told reporters on board that the double-digit inflation was expected to taper to single digit by the end of this fiscal.
