Naxalism founder Kanu Sanyal found dead in his hut

Kanu Sanyal, the co-founder of the Maoist-Leninist movement in India was found dead at his hut in Seftullajote village near Siliguri in West Bengal on Tuesday. His body was found hanging and it is believed he committed suicide. He was 78. Sanyal, a bachelor, was suffering from age-related ailments. Sitaram Yechury, politburo member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) termed Sanyal's death as unfortunate.
