Nepal Prez asks Katawal to stay as Army Chief

A day after Nepal's Army Chief was sacked by the Maoist-led government in a power struggle between the PM and the military, the country's President on Monday ordered the Army Chief to stay in his job. "Being the head of the state and the supreme commander of the Nepal Army I order you to continue with your duty," President Ram Baran Yadav said in a letter sent to General Rookmangud Katawal last night.
