Nitish races ahead of Lalu towards CM's chair

Updated on Nov 24, 2010 09:04 pm IST

Trends are now available for over 200 of the 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly and show the JD (U)-BJP combine surging ahead. The JD (U) is leading that surge. Nitish Kumar is set to be the Chief Minister yet again with a huge majority. Results are in for three seats - all won by JD (U)-BJP combine. Lalu's RJD, looking at a rout, is trailing in quite a few of the seats it held last time. His partner Ram Vilas Paswan is doing better, as is the Congress. The BSP is making some inroads at both Lalu and the BJP's expense.
