No pre-paid mobiles in Kashmir from Nov 1

While speaking to media persons at New Delhi, Home Minister P Chidambaram said that pre-paid mobile telephone connections would be banned in Kashmir for security reasons. The central Home Ministry has decided not to issue fresh pre-paid mobile connections in Kashmir and as per this policy, the existing pre-paid SIM cards should not be renewed in the state after November 1.
