North India reels under heat wave

It seems to be the hottest June this year with several places in the north having crossed 45 degrees Celsius. Sriganganagar in Rajasthan is blazing at 48.9 degrees Celsius, Hisar in Haryana touched 47.9 degrees and the maximum temperature in Amritsar in Punjab was 47.8 degrees Celsius. Delhi, witnessed the summer's highest at 44.9, which was 3 degrees above normal, and it is likely to touch 46 degrees today.
