Patrol rounds on bicycles

The latest experiment by the Tamil Nadu police in maintaining law and order in the Coimbatore district has been patrolling by riding bicycles. The constables who used to do the beat rounds on foot have better ways and means of moving quickly to any spot as and when the occasion demands. This novel way of patrolling has been introduced with an objective of ensuring security and safety of all the citizens.
