PM calls for better measures to tackle Kashmir issue

With the restive situation in Kashmir Valley getting grimmer by the day as violent protests and clashes refuse to die down, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on Thursday said that non-lethal, yet effective ways should be adopted to manage public agitations in the Valley. Addressing the 45th Annual Conference of Director General/Inspector General of Police in national capital New Delhi, Singh stated that the law and order condition in the Jammu and Kashmir needs special attention.
