PM presides over special meet on nuclear disaster management

In the backdrop of recent nuclear crisis in Japan, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Wednesday presided over a special meeting of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) to review the country's disaster preparedness. Interior minister, P Chidambaram, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman of the Planning Commission of India and Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar attended the meeting.
