Addressing a public rally in Tripura on February 19, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh slammed the ruling communists in the state accusing them of slowing down the pace of development. Singh also promised to electrify all villages if voted to power. Tripura elects a fresh assembly on February 23, and counting of ballots will take place on March 7.
