Police guns down Maoists in Chhattisgarh

Patrolling police on Sunday gunned down five suspected Maoist rebels in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. Acting on a tip off, the police squads started combing operation in the Hognar forest range in the night of Saturday. Meanwhile, in Allahabad personnel of special task force (STF) rounded up a couple for allegedly supporting Maoist movement of uprising against the establishment.
