Pratibha Patil as chief guest at Tajikistan I-Day

The visiting President of India Pratibha Patil participated as the chief guest at the 19th Independence Day celebrations of Tajikistan at Dushanbe on Tuesday. Colourful cultural programmes including dance performances based on songs from Indian movies by Tajaki school children marked the event. Addressing on the occasion the President of India said that she was impressed with the historical cultural ties between the two countries.
