Prez embarks on her first foreign trip

President Pratibha Patil on Saturday embarked on her maiden visit to Brazil, Mexico and Chile from April 12 to 25. Her first stop will be at Sao Paulo in Brazil where she will arrive on April 13 and stay on till April 16. The fact that the President has chosen to visit to Latin America reflects the importance that India attaches to further strengthening its partnerships with countries of that region.
