Prithviraj Chavan promises tough decisions against corruption

The newly chosen chief of Maharashtra, Prithviraj Chavan, promised tough decisions to counter and root out corruption. He declared this while addressing a function that was hosted to felicitate him at Mumbai on Friday. Prithviraj Chavan, who took over from Ashok Chavan who was forced to resign due to his alleged involvement in the Adarsh scam, has onerous task of salvaging the image of the party, which has taken a severe beating due to the scandal.
