Protests continues on Women's reservation bill

Uma Bharti, chief of Bharatiya Janshakti Party took to streets on Thursday demanding a separate quota for women belonging to backward classes within overall women reservation. She demanded 50 percent reservation for women, half of which should be reserved for women from the Dalit, lower caste and other backward communities. Uma Bharti told reporters that parliamentarians should understand the importance of the issue.
