Radhika Selvi sworn in as new minister

Radhika Selvi, wife of a slain don and representative of Dravida Munnetra Kazagham (DMK) party from Tamil Nadu, was sworn in as a minister in the union Cabinet on Friday in New Delhi. Selvi, first time MP from Tiruchendur in Tamil Nadu, was administered the oath of office and secrecy by President A P J Abdul Kalam at a brief function held in the Ashoka Hall of Rashtrapati Bhawan.
